God's Word

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:17

Take inspiration from the mother eagle.

Good morning My Friends, I have a story to share. I want you to imagine it's a beautiful sunny day and you're on a beach. The sand is warm, the sky is blue, and the waves are lapping gently against the shore. You close your eyes and take a deep breath, feeling the peace of the moment. Suddenly, you hear a voice from behind you. It's a voice you know - it's your best friend. He's telling you that it's time to get up and start walking away from the shore. He says it's time to go on an adventure, to explore new places and seek out new opportunities.

You know that if you stay in one place, even if it's a beautiful one, you'll never grow and reach your full potential. The same is true in life. As Deuteronomy 32:11 states: “As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings”. We must be like eagles and soar to new heights. We must take risks and be courageous in order to reach our full potential.

The Bible is full of stories of people who took risks and stepped out in faith. In Hebrews 11:1 it says: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”. This verse reminds us that faith is not just believing in something without proof, but trusting God and believing in something even if we don't have all the facts or evidence that it will work out. Abraham is a perfect example of this. He was willing to leave his homeland and wander in an unknown land, trusting in God that he would be blessed.

Taking risks requires courage and faith — two qualities that are essential for success in life. Without courage, we cannot take risks, and without faith, we cannot trust God for the outcome. So how can we cultivate these qualities?

The first step is to use our imagination. Visualize the life you want to live and then take small steps towards it. Even if it’s just writing down your goals, or researching opportunities, you are taking the first step towards making your dreams a reality.

The second step is to be intentional about learning from failure. There will be times when our plans don’t work out, but that doesn’t mean we should give up. Instead, we must use those experiences as learning opportunities so that we can grow from them.

The third step is to remember that we are never alone in our journey. God is with us every step of the way, and He has promised us that if we seek Him with all our hearts, He will provide us with the courage we need to take risks and trust Him for the outcome.

My Friends, I leave you with this thought: if you want to live a life of adventure and success, it is time to spread your wings and take flight! Courage plus faith equals success in God's eyes — don’t forget that!
