GOD'S WORD

And it shall come to pass, [that] every one that is left in thine house shall come [and] crouch to him

for a piece of silver and amorsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee,

into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

- Samuel 1 2:36 KJV

 One Piece of Bread

Reverend Danny Rhoades

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters! I'm so thankful to be here with you today.

I want to talk to you today about an ordinary, everyday item that has a profound meaning when we look at it in the proper context. I want to talk to you about one piece of bread.

Have you ever been so hungry you could eat an entire loaf of bread? I know I have! But I want to challenge you to look at this ordinary item in a new way. To think about the impact that one piece of bread can have on our lives.

The first way that one piece of bread can transform our lives is through faith. In Matthew 15:36, we read about how the Lord fed thousands of people with only five loaves and two fish. This story shows us that when we put our faith in God, He can take our small offerings and use them to make a big impact. We don't need a lot of resources to do big things; we just need faith that God will use us for His will.

The second way that one piece of bread can transform our lives is through fellowship. In Acts 2:42-47, we read about how the early church shared their meals together and were devoted to each other. When we share a meal with someone, we create a bond that extends beyond just food. We create an atmosphere of community and connection that strengthens our relationships and brings us closer together.

The third way that one piece of bread can transform our lives is through forgiveness. In Luke 23:34, Jesus asks God to forgive those who are crucifying Him. This story shows us the power of forgiveness and how it can lead to healing and redemption. When we are willing to forgive, we open the door to transformation and spiritual growth.

Brothers and Sisters don't underestimate the power of one piece of bread. It can be used to strengthen our faith, create fellowship, and forgive those who have wronged us. Just like one piece of bread can feed thousands, one act of faith, fellowship, or forgiveness can have a ripple effect that changes lives for generations to come.

Don't be afraid to take that first step - one piece of bread can go a long way!

Lord, I thank you for this bread. I pray that you would bless it and make it nourish my body and soul. I pray that I would always remember that it is a gift from you, and that I would never take it for granted. I pray this in the name of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ
