GOD'S WORD

"15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."

2 Peter 3:15 - 16 KJV

Where there's faith, there's courage; where there's

 courage, there's victory!”

November 16, 2023

Good morning My Beloved Brothers and Sister. I trust y'all are doing well and ready to receive a Word from the Lord. Before I begin, I want to tell you all a story. You know, one of the greatest motivators I have had in my life is my grandmother. She was the most wise and resilient woman I have ever known. Even when things got tough, my grandmother would always be the one to pick us up and remind us that we can get through anything with a little faith and hard work.

Today, I want to talk about the story of King Ahaz of Judah from 2 Kings 16:5 and 2 Chronicles 18:1-3. Like my grandmother, King Ahaz had a resilient spirit, and he was determined to make something of himself despite the odds. He knew that having faith in God and trusting in His plan would lead him to success.

My first key point is to have faith in yourself and in God. Ahaz was only 20 years old when he began his reign as King of Judah and his story serves as a reminder that even in young age, we can accomplish great things if we rely on God's guidance. We see this throughout the Bible that faith will always lead us to victory. As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

My second key point is to be courageous. Ahaz faced many challenges during his reign as King, but he never wavered in his faith and courage. He knew that with God’s help he could overcome anything that was thrown at him. We see this throughout the Bible, where God calls us to be courageous and to trust in Him in times of adversity. As Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

My third key point is to be humble. Ahaz was humble enough to ask for guidance from God when he needed it. He was willing to admit when he was wrong and accept help from others when needed. As the Bible says in Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” We must always remember to stay humble in order to remain successful.

Brothers and Sisters in conclusion, no matter what the odds are against us, if we have faith in ourselves and in God, remain courageous, and stay humble, we can achieve anything. As Ahaz’s story teaches us, “Where there's faith, there's courage; where there's courage, there's victory!”
