God's Word

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

"Money is Not the Evil, It's
the Love of Money."

My sisters and brothers, I often think of the destruction of Edon as a great metaphor for life. In the Old Testament, Edon was a great kingdom that was destroyed due to the people's failure to honor God. Much like Edon, we often don’t recognize the power of God in our own lives and the potential destruction that comes from ignoring His will.

So, what can we learn from Edon’s destruction? First, we must never forget the power of God. As Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says, “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” We must always remember that God is in control, and He will judge us for our actions.

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” We must always remember that God is in control, and He will judge us for our actions.

Second, we must rely on God’s strength. As Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” We must remember that no matter how strong we think we are, it is only through God’s strength that we can truly be successful.

Third, we must strive to live in alignment with God’s will. As 1 John 2:15-17 says, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” We must remember to strive to do God’s will and reject the temptations of the world.

My sisters and brothers, let us learn from the destruction of Edon - never forget the power of God, rely on His strength, and strive to live in alignment with His will. For if we do these things, we can avoid our own destruction and build a kingdom that will last forever.

So let us remember - “God’s strength builds a kingdom that lasts forever.”
